The Premier CBPBA Annual Event, Offshore Racing, will take place Friday, 9/21/2007 through Sunday, 9/23/2007 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Marina and Spa on the Choptank River.

The Jersey Boyz and OPA return in late September with more than 50+ offshore race boats competing for the Championship this year. The 2007 event plan currently features 2 days of racing, on both Saturday and Sunday. The CBPBA volunteer event staff will be providing logistical support, communications and sweep operations throughout the weekend. Festivities begin Friday and run through the entire weekend. The dry pits, located in front of the Hyatt, will be open to the public for fans to see the race boats up close, and talk with the teams.

A SPECIAL NOTE TO FANS AND SPECTATORS: By USCG Permit, the Choptank River will be closed to all boat traffic on Saturday and Sunday at 10:30AM. The River will reopen by 4PM each day. The area affected is between the Route 50 Bridge, up-river beyond Chancellor Point. If you're coming to the Hyatt by boat, please plan your trip (both arrival and departure) accordingly.

A designated spectator fleet area will be located on the north side of the Choptank, directly across from the Hyatt. CBPBA Sweep Boats will direct all spectator boats to this area where you may lay anchor. A special notice to mariners will be posted and enforced by the US Coast Guard.

Spectators coming by land can view the race each day from the old Route 50 bridge, or from the Hyatt floating pier where the start/finish line is located.
