Our Neighbor Darrell David Rice's Ankle Monitor Comes Off Jan.17

Darrell Rice, 40 yrs. old, is the convicted felon that was released this summer from federal prison in Virginia after serving 10 years for abduction and is now living on Sweetbriar Lane in Stevensville near KIHS. He is suspected of being the Rt. 29 stalker of about 2 dozen women in about a 6 week period and suspected of committing 3 murders, 2 were in Shenadoah National Park, the same park where he abducted a woman. He removed his truck license plate and changed his shirt to try to avoid detection but was caught before he left Shenandoah Park. He confessed and served 10 yrs in the federal pen. He was indicted for murder but the charges were dropped but it was left so that he could be charged again for those murders in the future. Even if he is innocent of the murders, the crimes he did commit and plead quilty to are enough to warrant serious concern, especially in 49 days when his ankle monitor comes off. He is not on house arrest , he is free to go where he pleases, he has been seeking employment at our local bars. This man has serious mental issues, has a special hate for women and gays and lesbians and is selfadmittedly a ticking timebomb unable to control his anger.
